Welcome to The Butler's Desk, a personal project/website where I share my HTML abilties and spread my love for butlers.
Yes, my favorite characters of all times are Alfred Pennyworth, Sebestian Michaelis, Jeeves, and so much more. Not surprising at all.
I'd like to note that the OC you see shoved everywhere is my own, named Albert. Yes, he (was) meant to be a typical stock butler character. Not anymore, but his stereotypical apperance and name hasn't changed.
This website is eternally under construction. It's currently very unfinished and needs several updates, including getting the nav links to work. While I do my Deeds, I recommend you take a long around. Maybe sign my ata or link my site - whatever you prefer.
Updates:
- Added a puppy!
- All images and iframes now have the "loading=lazy" attribute.
- Finally got to adding Palestine graphics! Click the flag for info on how to help Palestine.
- Joined the Vocaloid and Yaoi/Yuri Webrings, added a flag counter, added a Panda Censor.
- Removed the "changes" iframe that was once here. Now these changes and its code are located inside the HTML file itself, but the bell cursor doesn't work currently.
- Added some widgets and other fun things in the bottom right div, alongside minor alts to images for accessability.
- Links & Resources page officially added.
- Deleted the Websites I Find Neat div and moved to the nav link stated above.
- Very lazy responsiveness update; the viewport has been removed, so now the website appears zoomed out on smaller screens.
- Changes the button's url/path to derive directly from my website instead of the "YOUR IMG PATH" placeholder.
- Most images locally uploaded to Neocities due to Catbox's outage.
- Added Websites I Find Neat.
- Status.cafe removed until further notice.
- Joined FujoRing.
- Divs relatively filled, status added, grids rehauled, 88x31 buttons added.
- Atabook link officially created.
- Handbell cursor added for hovering over links. WebNeko added.
- "Changes" Iframe overhauled.
- Button finally added.
- Website released!
- Major change to the site's color palette.
- Buttons have been added and finished, scrollbar changed, blinkies added, both main butler assets added. Grids were shifted around.
- Header title added, some lace added around, atabook and its tooltip added, filter animation added onto the blinkies, cbox (re)added.
- Completely rehauled the site. Previous iteration(s) have been archived.
To-do:
- Make the nav links.
- Add some content to the second body div.
- Make mobile friendly. (Partially).
- Link the bottom-right Albert to the future butler page.
- Make the "websites I find neat" div better looking. (Moved to the "Links & Resources" page).
- Add worldbuilding info and character/cast cards.
